Let’s go back to 2017 when Nomos partnered with Netherlands-based Ace Jewellers and created the Orion “De Stijl” Limited Edition – a design that celebrated one of Europe’s most famous modern art movements. Represented in simple black and white shades, the no-nonsense design of this Nomos Orion watch possessed the basic graphic lines and symmetrical beauty that De Stijl is most recognised for. We covered that model here. Three years later the German watch manufacturer collaborated with Amsterdam’s largest retailer once again to create a version of the Nomos Tangente. The 38mm model commemorated Ace Jeweller’s 45th anniversary and was limited to a very fitting 45 pieces. More importantly, in between these two Nomos watches came the release of the Club Campus Amsterdam Limited Edition. And today, a fourth collaboration model limited to 50 pieces is out, this time designed with the desires of Nomos’ watch collecting community in mind.
A Club Campus with Dutch pride
The Amsterdam Limited Edition remained true to the Club Campus’ sporty, fresh look but its asymmetrical dial and case were once again executed in true Dutch style. It differed from its standard editions with a new colour palette that tipped its hat to the flag of Amsterdam – a black dial with hour markers picked out in red and white. Released in a limited number of pieces and beating to the rhythm of Nomos’ reliable Alpha movement, the Nomos Club Campus Amsterdam Limited Edition was similar in many ways to the new Nomos Club Campus 38 #NomiesForLife – a watch whose Instagram community was founded by a devoted Nomos enthusiast. The Club Campus was collector Michiel’s first timepiece, purchased on the same day that Ace Jewellers went into collaboration with the German manufacturer. The intention of the new limited-edition Nomos watch of 50 pieces is to resonate with fellow Nomos aficionados from around the world, uniting their love for the Club Campus’ minimalist, luminous, timeless look.
The Nomos Club Campus 38 #NomiesForLife
Creating the #NomiesForLife community has forged a network of Nomos collectors together under one virtual roof. Fans get to share their knowledge and passion for the Saxonia-based brand with one another. Michiel and Ace Jewellers’ shared affection for Nomos led to an idea: a design collaboration between themselves and Nomos that hones into the desires of a true collector. The Nomos Club Campus 38 #NomiesForLife draws upon design elements from the standard model – a watch touted as the ideal graduation or anniversary gift with its caseback offering space for engraving.
The new #NomiesForLife Limited Edition watch instead replaces the solid steel caseback with a sapphire crystal glass exhibition feature, enabling a view into Nomos’ Alpha movement in motion. The manual-winding calibre was Nomos’ very first in-house movement, used in popular classics such as the Tangente, Ludwig, Orion, Tetra and, of course, the Club. It provides the new 38mm #NomiesForLife watch with a 43-hour power reserve and boasts traditional finishes like Glashutte ribbing and perlage that can be seen through this transparent caseback.
The dial of the new Nomos Club Campus 38 #NomiesForLife watch is presented in a deep shade of black as opposed to the Club’s recognisable anthracite colour and comes with the familiar north hemisphere represented in Arabic numerals; the south features traditional Roman numerals. What sets the dial apart from standard versions is the bright blue outline of the indices – a nod to Michiel’s favourite colour. The numerals are also completed in Nomos’ white luminescent treatment for assisting with reading the time during the night or in dark conditions.
The new Nomos Club Campus 38 #NomiesForLife remains an unpretentious timepiece. The Club Campus series being available in sizes that range between 36 and 41.5mm has found a common ground for male or female wrists with the newest 38.5mm model.

The Club Campus 38 #NomiesForLife comes complete on a black Horween Shell Cordovan strap finished with a stainless steel pin buckle. These leather straps, crafted from horse leather, are used throughout Nomo’s catalogue and are chosen for their thick, durable qualities.
