Tudor Launches a Limited Black Bay 58 with Inter Milan, Available Exclusively in Italy
Gradient blue with gilt accents, and a special logo on the dial. But you'll have to travel to Italy to get it.
There was a time when Tudor, just like mother brand Rolex, only released new models during watch fairs and only watches available in the permanent collection. These days are long gone, and Tudor has decided to fly solo, changing from the usual yearly releases to a more constant flow of novelties, now including special or limited editions. And don’t think that everything the brand does is classic… Tudor is also getting bolder with colours. This weekend, we’ve witnessed yet another demonstration of this strategy, as Tudor released a limited-edition Black Bay 58, with an unprecedented colour scheme meant to celebrate a stunning achievement for legendary soccer team Inter Milan.
One of Tudor’s sports partners, Italian soccer Serie A team Inter Milan, pulled off something extraordinary this year. Not only did it become the Italian Champions, but it also won its 20th Scudetto. And for that, the team earned its second star – in the Italian soccer league Serie A, a team earns a star that is permanently affixed to its jersey for every 10 titles won. As a tribute to this spectacular title, Tudor has decided to treat the team and its fans to a special version of its star dive watch.
The Tudor Black Bay 58 Inter is a new limited edition (something you don’t see often from Tudor) that flies the colours of the team – as you can see above, blue and black. Compared to classic versions of the BB58, available in an array of colours and materials (steel-black, steel-blue, gold-green, silver-taupe, bronze-brown and even a GMT model), this new Black Bay 58 Inter remains technically identical. It’s all about colours here. As such, it retains its compact and vintage-inspired 39mm case with a restrained thickness of 11.9mm, a domed sapphire crystal, a solid back, a 200m water-resistance and an oversized crown with a Tudor rose in relief.
New for this Inter edition is the combination of the black and gilt bezel insert (still in aluminium) with a new “ombré” (gradient effect) blue dial with gold-coloured accents – once again, a nod to the team’s jersey and its titles. The dial, which transitions from bright blue in the centre to black on the periphery, is characterised by its gold-coloured hands and applied indexes, as well as a specific logo at 6 o’clock – Inter Milan’s logo with the newly earned two stars. The Black Bay 58 Inter is worn on a 3-link rivet-style steel bracelet with a folding clasp.
Power still comes from the calibre Manufacture MT5402, an automatic movement with a 70-hour power reserve, COSC certification and an anti-magnetic silicon hairspring – just like other editions of the BB58.
Worn by the players of Inter, this Tudor Black Bay 58 Inter (ref. M79030N-0025) is a limited edition of 1,908 numbered pieces, available now from Tudor’s boutiques in Milan and Rome, as well as retailers throughout Italy. It is priced at EUR 4,350. For more details, please visit www.tudorwatch.com.

Surely the Batman is the quintessential Inter watch?
