The Maurice Lacroix Masterpiece Skeleton X Label Noir

It's made with Label Noir and the main idea is that... it's noir (or black if you prefer)

On one side is Maurice Lacroix, a serious brand with a strong position in the accessible luxury watch segment, but also some serious watchmaking skills with its Masterpiece range. On the other side is Label Noir, a Geneva-based customisation atelier in operation since 2011, with an exciting portfolio – which also happens to include a made-over Maurice Lacroix Aikon. Both parties have decided to do it again and have elected a Masterpiece Skeleton watch for the occasion. And considering the name of the guest, you can imagine that it’s all about the colour black.

The Maurice Lacroix Masterpiece Skeleton X Label Noir is housed in a sleek 43mm stainless steel case measuring 13mm thick. Its black and anthracite matte DLC coating exudes sophistication, while the sapphire crystals with AR treatment provide clarity from all angles.

The skeletonised design offers a modern twist, with a monochromatic aesthetic punctuated by contrasting white accents on the hour and minute hands and the customised crown. Notably, the small seconds hand at 9 o’clock adds a subtle touch with its pitch-black hue.

The watch’s intricate inner workings are proudly displayed on both sides. The openworked spring barrel reveals the mainspring in various states of tension, while the balance wheel oscillates gracefully adjacent to 12 o’clock. The manually wound calibre ML134 powers the timepiece, adorned with Grand Colimaçon and sand-blasted finishing on its bridges and polished edges. This calibre delivers 45 hours of power reserve and operates at 18,000 vibrations/hour frequency.

The Maurice Lacroix Masterpiece Skeleton X Label Noir is water-resistant up to 50 m and complemented by an M-branded black nylon strap secured with a folding clasp. This timepiece will appeal to those looking for exclusivity, as only 288 will be produced. It is priced at CHF 6,900.
