The Hermès H08 Chronograph, Now in Naples Yellow
A fresh burst of colour for Hermès' geometric monopusher chronograph, blending high-tech materials with unmistakable flair.
Since formalising its modern manufacture capabilities (including a long-standing stake in Vaucher Manufacture Fleurier), La Montre Hermès has developed a distinct vocabulary with typography that’s unmistakably Hermès. The H08 collection, launched in 2021, translated the approach into a daily-wear sports watch that felt designed rather than engineered. Its cushion case, graphic numerals, and mix of a carbon-graphene composite with titanium gave it an effortless, distinctive, and contemporary appearance.
The particularly appealing monopusher H08 Chronograph extended that idea without breaking the silhouette. The 41mm circle-within-a-square design remains light, durable and comfortable. This new Naples Yellow edition doesn’t change the spec sheet; it sharpens the character. Brighter strap and dial accents turn up the sporty cadence, while all the hallmarks like the clean symmetry, refined textures, and Hermès sense of touch stay intact. It’s a colour update that reminds you why the H08 works: clarity, materials, and quiet confidence.
The cushion-shaped 41mm case (45mm lug-to-lug) keeps the build with the carbon-fibre composite infused with graphene powder, ultra-light, rigid, and softly grained to the touch. A sunburst satin-finished titanium bezel with mirror-polished chamfers frames an AR-coated sapphire crystal; a matching sapphire back completes the package. Water-resistance remains at 100m. The black DLC-treated titanium crown integrates the single chronograph pusher (start/stop/reset), with a thin yellow ring.
The black-gold-treated, blackened dial retains the H08 Chronograph series’ balance: a circular main display, case-echoing sub-registers, and rhodium-plated applied Arabic numerals in a bespoke font. Super-LumiNova on hands and numerals ensures easy night reading; a date at 4:30 stays out of the way. Naples Yellow accents energise the display that now looks very refreshing.
The automatic Hermès H1837 (base made by Vaucher) with a monopusher chronograph module operates at 28,800 vibrations/hour and has a 46-hour power reserve. Finishing is characteristically Hermès; clean striping and the “H” rotor motif are visible through the sapphire back. Functions include hours, minutes, small seconds at 3 o’clock, central chronograph seconds, a 30-minute counter, and the date.
Worn on a yellow rubber strap closed with a satin-finished black DLC titanium folding clasp, the Hermès H08 Chronograph Naples Yellow Edition is released as part of the permanent collection and is now available. It is priced at EUR 12,000, just like the orange edition. For more details, please visit www.hermes.com.
