The Sleek Gerald Genta Geneva Time Only
An expression of Genta's design philosophy, presented in its essential form.
La Fabrique du Temps Louis Vuitton continues to expand the Gérald Genta collection with the introduction of the Geneva Time Only, a new pair of 38mm timepieces. Following the Geneva Minute Repeater, this new model carries forward the same design, with fluid geometry, architectural precision, and attention to proportion, now presented in a simpler, time-only format.
Crafted entirely in-house at La Fabrique des Boîtiers, the case appears effortless yet is complex in construction. It measures 38mm in diameter and 8.15mm thick, so there´s both presence and refinement. Its defining cushion-shaped case is a continuous evolution of Genta’s iconic geometric designs, merging the strength of a square outline with the softness of a circle. The double gadroons, signature parallel bands around the case flank, create visual tension, while single-piece lugs on either side form an integrated appearance. Each surface is finished by hand, alternating between satin brushing and high polishing to highlight the structure’s curves and transitions.
Gérald Genta offers two variants, in rose or white gold. The Geneva Time Only Marrone has a warm, monochromatic appearance, and comes in a 4N rose gold case with a smoked brown dial with tone-on-tone rose gold hands and indices. The Geneva Time Only Grafite uses a white gold case with a silver-grey dial, with rose gold hands and markers, offering a cooler expression of the same design. The two-segment grained brass dial reinforces the collection’s interplay of geometry. The outer minute track follows the soft cushion outline of the case, while the inner track is circular, creating a pleasing optical effect from different angles. The polished and rounded hands with subtle arrow tips complete the functional beauty.
The Gérald Genta Geneva Time Only is powered by the calibre GG-005P, developed from the Zenith Elite 670 and reworked by La Fabrique du Temps for Gérald Genta. The automatic movement, also used in the Gentissima collection, and visible through the sapphire crystal caseback, comprises 158 components and operates at 28,800 vibrations/hour with a 50-hour power reserve. The rotor has been redesigned exclusively for this collection.
Both variants are worn on handmade calfskin straps closed with a matching gold pin buckle. The Marrone comes on a brown strap, the Grafite on a grey calfskin, maintaining the overall harmony. Available from January 2026, both references are priced at CHF 25,000 (excluding taxes). More information at geraldgenta.com.
