Bianchet Teams Up with Maserati for a Limited-Edition UltraFino Maserati
The same lightweight UltraFino tourbillon in a tonneau-shaped case, now with a bit of Maserati in it.
It’s no secret that cars and watches are not that different if you look closely. Both are built around performance and precision, even if one lives on the road and the other on the wrist. Presented ahead of Watches and Wonders Geneva 2026, the Bianchet UltraFino Maserati is a good example of that. This collaboration makes sense on paper and in execution. Maserati brings its long history of building fast, very capable machines with a strong Italian identity, while Bianchet focuses on proportion and how each part fits into the whole, especially with their Golden Ratio design philosophy. The result is a watch that is less about borrowing design and more about two sides working towards the same kind of result.
The Bianchet UltraFino Maserati is obviously closely linked to Maserati’s MCPURA, a supercar powered by a twin-turbo Nettuno V6. This engine is based on Formula 1 technology, while the car itself is designed to stay light and well-balanced, using a carbon-fibre structure. Performance figures are strong, with 0 to 100 km/h in under 2.9 seconds, but more importantly, the focus is on weight, balance, and material use. Bianchet goes the same way with its UT01 flying tourbillon movement, keeping the watch thin, light, and stable. This is not a new territory for the brand, as seen in its earlier Ultrafino Carbon models, prioritising weight and comfort on the wrist.
The openworked dial, lightweight build, and tonneau-shaped case are all here from the UltraFino design, along with clearer references to the MCPURA. For instance, the dial takes cues from the car’s wheel design with a split-spoke style layout. The AI Aqua accents, a signature blue first seen on the MCPURA, also run through to the rubber seam. This works well and feels more thought-through than decorative, with the light blue accents standing out nicely against the black carbon case.
The case measures 40mm wide, 47.39mm long, and 9.9mm thick, and is made from high-density carbon. It remains extremely light at 36 grams without the strap. The construction includes integrated crown guards in carbon and sapphire crystals on both sides, with water resistance rated at 50 metres. You can wear the UltraFino Maserati on an integrated carbon bracelet or a rubber strap with a folding clasp.
Revving the UltraFino Maserati is the Bianchet UT01 calibre, a hand-finished automatic flying tourbillon movement. It runs at 21,600vph and offers a power reserve of around 60 hours. The movement is just 3.85mm thick, with a visible tourbillon cage on the dial side that becomes part of the display. Its finishing includes sandblasted, brushed, and polished surfaces with hand-bevelled edges, while titanium is used for the main plate and bridges to reduce weight. The watch is also built to handle shocks up to 5,000G, keeping the focus on performance and reliability.
The UltraFino Maserati is offered as a limited edition of 100 pieces, marking the centenary of Maserati’s Trident logo. Its price is yet to be confirmed (expected around CHF 70,000). For more information, please visit bianchet.com.
