Indie Brand Akhor Launches the Lumiere Blanche Editions
A bright new interpretation of the very young indie brand’s Le Temps en Equilibre series.
Geneva-based independent brand Akhor presented its inaugural Le Temps en Équilibre collection in 2025, built around a patented dual-disc display system, and it was immediately recognised for its innovative dial concept and proprietary movement. The new Lumière Blanche editions expand the concept with a new artistic direction, where white becomes the central design element.
The new Akhor Lumière Blanche Editions are housed in the elegant 39mm cushion-shaped case characteristic of the collection. Crafted in 4N or 5N gold, the case measures 11mm thick and features alternating polished and satin finishes to accentuate its curves. A sapphire crystal front and back reveals the layered dial architecture and the movement.
The Lumière Blanche watches retain the collection’s distinctive dual-disc dial construction, in which an upper plate is suspended above the lower disc. This patented structure creates a space between the two elements, allowing the hands to move beneath the upper plate. In these white interpretations, the concept becomes even more apparent, giving the dial the structured appearance of a mechanism rather than a simple decorative surface.
Two versions are offered. The first features a white sunburst dial, with numerals at cardinal positions, stick indices and hands rhodium- or gold-plated. The second adopts a more technical look with a white honeycomb dial. This version features a diamond-set bezel and clasp, adding a more jewellery-oriented interpretation.
The watch is powered by the manual-winding calibre AK10, developed exclusively for Akhor and manufactured by Clamax. Measuring 31.3mm in diameter and 3.9mm thick, the COSC-certified movement operates at 28,800 vibrations/hour and delivers a 60-hour power reserve from a single barrel. Comprising 117 components, the movement features a variable inertia balance and a stop-seconds mechanism. Finishing includes hand-applied anglage, fan-shaped Côtes de Genève and decorated wheels. The distinctive screw heads mimic the case’s cushion profile.
Both Lumière Blanche editions are worn on a hand-stitched white alligator strap, secured by a folding clasp matching the case material. Prices are CHF 57,800 or CHF 67,800 (with diamonds), including taxes. For more information, please visit www.akhor.ch.
