We have told you about the new Vacheron Constantin boutique in Paris when we showed you the stylish and sophisticated B&W photos they used for the portraits (click here) and when we brought the news of the extremely stylish 1972 Prestige (click here to read our full story) that was introduced for the opening of the boutique.

Vacheron Constantin introduces four new limited-edition Patrimony Traditionnelle models for the new Parisian boutique. The most outstanding model is a one-of-a-kind version of the Patrimony Traditionnelle Calibre 2755 grand complication. But Vacheron Constantin celebrates their relationship with the city of lights rather exuberantly, as they also introduce a Patrimony Traditionnelle small seconds (limited edition of 75 pieces) and a Patrimony Traditionnelle small model diamond-set (also limited to 75 pieces). However the model that immediately caught my attention is a 10-piece limited edition of the Patrimony Traditionnelle Chronograph!

Look at the dial… All these special “Paris Boutique” models are feature a hand-guillloché dial, with a unique pattern dedicated to Paris Boutique, that is simply gorgeous. Designing and manufacturing hand-guiloché dials is by the way one of the many artistic crafts that Vacheron Constantin has in-house. All models also come on a Mississippi alligator leather strap in a warm chestnut brown color, that looks amazing with the 18K pink gold case and silvered opaline dial. And if you like it on a black alligator strap, that’s easy because Vacheron delivers these models with a second black Mississippi alligator strap!

The case-back is engraved with the address “2, rue de la Paix”, along with the individual limited-series number. The Patrimony Traditionnelle Chronograph is equipped with the manually wound caliber 1141. Through the case back we can see the sheer beauty of this movement, the hand-beveling on the bridges, the Côte de Genève, the polished screw heads and the view on the large screw balance.

Besides this magnificent Patrimony Traditionnelle Chronograph, which is limited to just 10 pieces, there’s also a unique piece of the Patrimony Traditionnelle Calibre 2755, featuring the small seconds on the tourbillon carriage, a minute repeater, and a perpetual calendar that indicates day of the week, date, month and leap year. On the back of the movement, visible through the sapphire crystal in the case back is a power reserve indication and of course it also features the same gorgeous Paris-special hand-guilloche dial.

And there’s more… what would you say of this classic and sophisticated dress watch, the Patrimony Traditionnelle small seconds?

Later I’ll write more about this Patrimony Traditionnelle small seconds and the new version in platinum that Vacheron Constantin just released during the recent SIHH.

If you’re in Paris this summer, then the new Vacheron Constantin boutique might just be a nice visit, in between the visit to the Louvre and Musée d’Orsay. Or a nice distraction from chasing your wife through Galleries Lafayette. Especially because, in addition to the entire range of collections from the Manufacture, the Paris Boutique presents exclusive models such as a vintage line christened “Vacheron Constantin Les Collectionneurs”. The address is 2 Rue de la Paix in Paris.
