Seiko Discus Burger

| By Frank Geelen | 1 min read |

The Seiko Burger is by favorite from the Seiko Moving Design Collection. Besides the remarkable design it is also technically rather special. There are no moving hands, but the time is shown with movings disks.

The centre disk is the second indicator, one disk to the outisde is the minute disk and the one on the outside is the hour disk. The time is shown through a transparant round window in the grey crystal. There is no date indicator, time only on this beauty 😉

The picture is taken from an excellent review of the watch, made by Kong, on Watch Prosite. You can read the entire article if you click here.

I really like the odd design and i hope to find one of the only 100 pieces ever made! If i find one i post more about it 🙂

  1. A lovely looking watch, but you can’t get it in Europe and in Japan the listed cost (excluding tax) is 70,000 Yen – roughly $700. A couple have been on eBay for around $900, apparently.
