You’re invited: meet Ochs und Junior in the Netherlands

| By Frank Geelen | 2 min read |

Ochs und Junior are visiting the Netherlands for an informal presentation of their timepieces and box of ideas for new projects. Let us know if you want to be there to get a little look inside the kitchen of horological ideas of Ochs und Junior.

I guess that it’s no secret that we at Monochrome just love Ochs und Junior. The raw material, the basic design and the clever and inovative solutions for complications all prove that Ochs und Junior think out of the box. Ludwig Oechslin (Ochs) and Beat Weinmann (Junior) are the geniuses behind the brand that seriously rocks the horological world, for instance by releasing the most precise moon phase complication ever in a wrist watch… and it only comprises of 5 parts!

Besides the impressive Selene, that’s what the watch is called, there are several other watch models and many ideas for future watches. No wonder that another watch that amazed both watch aficionados and people in the watch industry, the MIH Watch, is also created by Ludwig Oechslin. Prices vary from 6,000 CHF for the Due Ore and Mese, and 8,000 CHF for the Selene featuring the most accurate moon phase that only has to be adjusted once every 3478.27 years.

The watches we just mentioned are all part of the Tinta collection. The color of the dial… your choice, the color of the hands… your choice, and so is the color of the markers, strap and strap stitching. And yes, that’s all included in the price.

If this sounds interesting, then join Ochs und Junior for a breakfast/brunch meeting on December 11th. It will be an informal gathering with drinks and food and you may bring your family. Just send a quick note to Beat letting him know you’d like to attend and that’s all you gotta do!
